The Company

Candida (Candy) Bowman graduated with a degree in Communication Studies. Her first job and subsequent management role was in media sales for Times Newspapers Ltd, where she led a team of 10.

When Candy started training her team, she recognised that of the three key areas, knowledge, skill and attitude it was attitude, specifically motivation, that delivered the best results in terms of revenue, positive approach and standards of work.

Candy then devised and ran a housekeeping business, Home Matters, providing support for over 200 households in north London. She worked with a team of 40 part time staff and a network of skilled suppliers such as plumbers, electricians and decorators.

After Home Matters, Candy managed a local enterprise agency in Peckham, south east London, training and counselling people who were considering starting their own business, or in their first three years of trading. She went on to work as a consultant in the government funded support sector.

She was then approached by a highly talented musician asking for help in “kick starting” his first album. She became a partner in the independent record label dealing with audience development, touring, management and promotion.

Candy returned to training in 2003. She has worked on training projects for The Post Office, The Disability Rights Commission; EDF Energy; HSBC, Cellecta, Wainhomes, Bailey’s Caravans, Caravan & Motorhome Club, Mott MacDonald, Original Style Tiles, Wainhomes, Bible Society, BV Dairy, Curve Theatre, BMG (The New Music Company), Wessex Water, Mott MacDonald, Cellecta, Solfix, medical and dental practices, several law firms and regional Law Societies.

Most recently, we are delighted to work with organisations that provide learning and care to vulnerable young people, suppliers of food manufacturing equipment and internal auditing services.
